Events
It’s not just about training, LADAM has a lively social scene too, with rides and events frequently organised for members
Events calendar
In addition to all the training we provide, LADAM organises lots of social rides and events every the year. Naturally, most of our organised rides are scheduled during the warmer months, but don’t worry, we don’t hibernate entirely in the depths of winter either, and regularly organise talks and presentations to keep our members engaged with all thing motorcycling and advanced riding related. When the weather permits, we have a monthly extended ride on the last Sunday of each month, where we may be out for the whole day. See the calendar below for more information on the groups rides and events we have planned and click here to see our Group Riding Etiquette and details of our Group Riding Etiquette.
Check out some of our favourite Saturday morning destinations.
Every other Saturday there is a Group Ride, usually ending up at a great cafe and lasting around one and a half hours. Open to all Members and Associates on a training ride with an Observer.
On the second Tuesday of every month from April through to September, there is a Chippy Ride. This will always end up at a venue that serves fish & chips (other food is also available!) and will last around one and a half hours. These start at 6:30pm from Birstall. This is open to all Members and Associates with an Observer.
On the last Sunday of every month throughout the year (weather dependent), there is an Extended Ride. This will last all day, taking in a lunch destination. These can start from anywhere so watch out for details on our Facebook page (members only) or email. These are open to all Members and Associates who are ready for their Advanced Test (with an Observer). Please note for these rides, you need to be able to ride all day and maintain progress (that’s not the same as speeding!).
From October through to March, on the second Tuesday of each month, we hold a Club Event. Details of these are shared via email and include talks and quizzes.
