LADAM is run entirely by volunteers who get a lot of fun from their bikes, whether on short social rides, training others to ride or by touring in the UK or on the Continent.
Our aim is to help you enjoy your bike by giving you the skills to become smoother, safer and more progressive.
Our Members and Associates ride a wide variety of machines ranging form sports-bikes and tourers to cruisers and commuters.
You will be made welcome whatever you ride but your bike must be able to reach the national speed limit.
We are affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists and the training will give you the skills and confidence to pass the IAM Advanced Motorcyclists test.
However, once you have passed the Advanced test you can continue learning and improving your skills with LADAM. The best riders never stop learning and you can do this in a variety of ways; undertake the Riding Assessment, the Special Assessment or participate in further training to become an Observer and learn to pass on the skills that you have learnt. Alternatively you could decide to become a member of the Committee or help organise some of the social events.
